Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to sign a 2 Semester contract?
Yes. Unless you are only attending Spring Semester, which begins in January.
Can I bring my own bed?
No. Unfortunately, due to inventory issues, we have done away with storing extra beds.
What is the difference between a "Private Room" and a "Private Room Lower Unit"?
The buildings consist of six units. Four that are a two-level town home style and two units downstairs which are half sub grade and one level. All units have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
What utilities are included?
The hassle-free payment is due with the first installment if you are paying in payments.
Your rent includes water, garbage, sewer and high-speed internet. You pay for the gas and power through the hassle-free utilities. The cost for that is $175 for a private or $100 for a shared room.
Can I pay rent monthly?
We prefer that you pay your semester rent in full the first day of the semester or before. If making payments, a $50.00 fee will apply. If making three payments, the first payment is due on the first day of the semester or can be paid before. The second payment is due the first of October for fall semester or the first of February for spring semester. The third—and final payment—is due on the first of November for fall semester or the first of March for spring semester. As per your contract, late payments will incur late charges.
What furnishings are provided in each unit?
The apartment living room has a sofa and love seat. The kitchen has bar stools, a dishwasher, an oven with a 4-burner cooktop, a refrigerator, a microwave, maple cabinets, a washer, and a gas dryer. Each bedroom has either 1 queen bed (for private rooms) or 2 standard twin beds (for shared rooms), a dresser, and a desk.
What do I need to bring?
Pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc… Sheets, blankets, pillows, and most prefer their own mattress pad. Bathroom items, a shower curtain, and bath mats. Most students bring a computer and a small television. You can obtain a copy of our check list here.
Is my deposit applied to my rent?
No. Your deposit is held in a separate trust account until your contract is fulfilled and possession of the unit is returned to the owner. The deposit is held as a security and cleaning deposit. It is for security against breach of lease contract, cleanliness at time of check out, and any damages. If damages are committed and/or the unit is not cleaned, deductions will be made from your deposit for repairs and cleaning. Your deposit will be mailed to you, along with an accounting for any deductions, no later than thirty days after possession is returned to the owner. Make sure you meet with a manager to check out.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry. Pets are not allowed.
When can I move in?
The price allows you to move in the weekend before school starts at no extra charge.
Can my friends or family spend the night when they visit?
No overnight guests are allowed without prior written consent from management.
